- Yaojie and Haishiwan - January 2006 -

In the coal yards of Yaojie, a man's success can be judged by how much
he can shovel in a day.

In the backstreets of Yaojie, with SY0527 pushing up to Mine No. 1.

A freight from Yaojie to Haishiwan makes it's way through the gorge, along
a tributary of the Yellow River. The working was dieselised the next day.

'A bridge too far' - pushing photography to it's limits in the smoggy conditions
persisting in Haishiwan. An "SY" class returns towards Yaojie.

SY 0527 shunts in the Stygian gloom of the Sankuang mine, Yaojie.
